Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense depends on you.
The Bonus
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
